Applications for the fourth edition of The Trail Team (TTT), a mentorship program for young trail running elites, are open until February 8, 2026. Founded by U.S. national champion Andy Wacker, TTT will select six new athletes aged 20-30 focusing on sub-ultra distances.

Program Details

The 20-athlete team gets support including travel, race housing for key events like Sunapee Scramble, Broken Arrow Skyrace, and Moab Half Marathon, plus uniforms, shoes, and consults with physiotherapists and coaches. Emphasis on community and synergy to raise competitive levels.

Alumni like Anna Gibson and Shea Aquilano podiumed at JFK 50 Mile and Trail World Championships. In Brazil, trail running growth mirrors with events like Mons Ultra Trail in Urubici.
